Ciudad Bolivar is an inland town with significant remaining colonial architecture. It is a cozy town situated on the banks of the mighty Rio Orinoco, and is normally used as a starting point for trips to Angel Falls / Salto Angel. Ciudad Bolivar used to be known as Angostura.
